Amylin analogues — cagrilintide in context

Research & laboratory use only

This article supports qualified researchers. It is not medical advice and must not be used to plan human or veterinary administration.

Amylin is co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic β-cells and slows gastric emptying while promoting satiety via central pathways. Long-acting amylin analogues such as cagrilintide are studied alone and in combination with incretin agonists — a different receptor family from GLP-1/GIP.

Tip

When comparing catalogue metabolic compounds, ask: which receptor(s)? mono, dual, triple, or amylin? Mechanism beats marketing synonyms.
