Hypothalamic GHRH stimulates pituitary GH release; somatostatin inhibits it. GH acts directly and via hepatic IGF-1. Secretagogue research compounds act at different nodes of this axis — understanding the map prevents treating all “GH peptides” as interchangeable.

  • Separate GHRH-receptor analogues from ghrelin-receptor (GHRP) ligands in your notes.
  • Remember pulsatility: many assays care about sampling relative to a pulse, not a flat “daily dose” metaphor from forums.
