- PubMed (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) — search the compound name + “review” or “clinical trial”.
- ClinicalTrials.gov — see whether human studies exist and what endpoints they measured.
- FDA / EMA labels — for approved drugs only; read indications and warnings, not as a recipe for research vials.
- Cochrane or NEJM/Lancet papers linked from our Research library — primary evidence beats summaries.
- Do not start with Reddit, TikTok, or vendor blogs — they rarely cite methods or COAs.
- Do not copy doses from clinical papers into personal use — those trials use approved products under medical oversight.
- Do not treat “stack” posts as protocol design.
Five-minute paper triage
Open the abstract. Ask: What species (cells, mice, humans)? What endpoint moved? What dose and route — and is that relevant to my lab model? Who funded it?
